BODY MASS INDEX (BMI)
New York State requires districts to collect data on body mass index (BMI). Individual student names
are not used. The data is used by New York State to assist in developing programs to fight childhood obesity. If you do not wish the school district to report body mass index information on your child, please notify the school principal in writing.
