• The 2020-21 Budget maintains all of our current programs for our children.
• The FSUFSD has never pierced the tax cap since its inception.
• The 2020-21 Budget does NOT pierce the tax cap.
• The tax increase on the average home is approximately $100/year or $0.27/day.
• The FSUFSD Per Pupil Expenditure Amount has once again ranked among the lowest in Nassau County.
• A failed budget results in a contingent budget. Under a contingent budget the District will have to cut in excess of $650,000.
• Taxes DO NOT decrease due to a contingent budget.
• The Capital Reserve Propositions on the ballot will NOT result in an increase to taxes.
• The District has maintained an Unassigned Fund Balance within the legal limit since 2016.
• The Unassigned Fund Balance prior to 2016 was accumulated over many years due to unforeseen circumstances. The District utilized these funds to create a Capital Reserve and address critical infrastructure and safety issues without having to increase taxes.
